It is close to winter,
and the trees are almost bare.
I sit on the swing,
look up, and stare.
One by one,
leaves float down to the ground.
so silent,
they don't even make a sound.
All of them warm colors,
brown, orange, yellow and red.
It looks as though, the trees might be dead.
No green in sight,
it's quite a fright.
but it will be all right,
when spring comes again.
