The man kept working through the dead of night.
Sleep beat his eyes with a great big fight.
He tried and tried but his eyes would not budge.
His fingers made like crowbars and gave a great nudge.
His eyes were springs and would just spring back.
Those lids over eyes had amany weights in stack.
He broadened his shoulders and stood up with a huff.
With superhuman strength his lids alifted with the right stuff.
Strength drained from his face and his eyes snapped shut.
Kryptonite continued to work til' he sat on his butt.
Bent from the waist he fell like lumber.
His body sat erect falling to eternal slumber.
Back and face stressed, he tried getting up.
He had to finish advertising his cup.
He used the rest of his strength, arms all bent.
It was seven thirty when his clock went...
"Ring!"
