Blood Tears

These angel wings bleed from the ropes that tie them on and keep me hidden amongst the crowds of the blessed and holy for which I am a wolf in sheep’s skin.
I am dammed and cursed for the things I have done, breaking the promises I made as a child as I fool them still.
I am the jester in this play of life and fool the ones I say I love but really despise for being better then myself.
These painful words I do not regret, they are the only thing keeping me alive.
It's funny how to survive I must lose my sanity, but alas, that's how its always been.

Blood tears run from my face as I remember the pain I have gone through.
These hands are cold and dry as the blood runs from them, too.
The trees and the wind, and the sun and the sky... All blood.
Everywhere and everything is blood, and I am blood too.

With my knife I cut into my arm but cannot feel a thing.
I seem to remember a time when I could but those days are gone.
This broken flesh bleeds me dry.
Washing the last of it from my arms, I feel free.
Closing my eyes, all I see is darkness.

When I open my eyes I am blinded by the flames which surround me.
"Make it go away!" I scream, but no one is listening.
I try to breath, but am suffocated by the smoke which fills my lungs.
I Cough and scream "Someone help me!", but no one cares.
I try to stand up, but my legs are burned past repair.
"Someone, please help me!", but they just stand and stare,
and say it's my fault and I deserve to suffer.
I swallow my pain as it consumes me.
No one deserves this.
