I went to take your picture.
You closed your eyes and grinned.
You mouthed the words “I love you dear,”
To this man, So glad I’m him.

You wrote me a love letter,
Then placed it in my hand.
I consumed then all three pages,
And was proud to be your man.

You cooked my favorite dinner,
And blessed me with that gift.
You made me feel quite special,
As you gave my soul a lift.

You ran right to my rescue,
When my body was wracked with pain.
But the strongest medicine I have found,
Is to simply hear your name.
