his touch seemed cold in lightning
on a drawn out pavement
brusied and frightning
gave all but left too lament
his hands tied and bound
the air sung to the ground
a melody unheard
eyes teary, blurred
a bed of needles on his back
heart embraced, smile crack
she was a thorn in his side
she wiped a tear as he cried
the glass strewn about the street
cut and marked his weary feet
her high heel snapped once tall
crumpled seemed to falll
her hands coloured like the rouge
on her lips
she held him tight as he bled
to her hips
the sirens roared to a halt
but would be to late
to give life to a spark without a jolt
twisted like fate
the ambulance pulled away
and sound ceased
in a vast jumping nightly day
her eyes surrened
her lips creased
sobbing tears fell to pain
a nearby man screamed in vain
beckoning was the fading light
shell wait for him despite plight
tattered and bloodied in a pretty gown
the passers by looked down
she took a walk battered and frail
her soul open through a veil
