Dogwood

This time she has been crucified,
she was blind leading the blind.
Everyone she loves is dead,
she has nothing left.
Candles burning in the dark,
the dim light and flickering fire
tears her soul apart.
Empty tears fall from her eyes,
as she reaches to the stars to open the skies.
Only to find she's searching for something
which can't be found.
Yet, she's hoping shes not so sick.
She will die.
This time she's been crucified.
Her beauty now corrodes,
along with her faith.
Pictures of loves lost past begin to shake,
and her memories begin to break.
her lipsmove,
but no one hears what she's saying.
so corrupted, so betrayed, she's dieing.
Virgin, love once pure, snow white
now cold and empty.
He watched in the shadows,
with eyes of burning desire,
as he ripped away her purity.
she know kneels at her bed,
tears and mascara falling from her eyes.
The image of a cross upon her wall,
burns an image into her mind and between her thighs.
As she wraps the wire around her milk white wrists, and takes her own life.
She takes my hand and says theres nothing to fear.
The dogwoods are now bare for her pain.
As he sits in the shadows watching it all,
and begins to grin.
