DON’T ASK ME TO DELIVER YOU
Don’t ask me to deliver you
From all the pain you feel tonight —
For who am I to do such things?
Remember — I’m the one who sings
The same old songs — not one is new —
Beyond those days I have no sight —
The bell of future somehow rings,
The stars e’er give their silver light,
I’m just the one who sometimes sings...
Don’t ask me to deliver you.
