In guilt and shame you bowed your head,
And told me what had transpired.
I thought then I’d be better off dead,
Than to know of your sinful desires.
The thought of you with another man,
Was more than my poor heart could handle.
I entered a shell, in shock and hell,
But I could not extinguish your candle.
Pain in my soul left me less than whole.
I thought I’d been cut right in half.
Deep anger I felt, going out of control,
I knew I could no longer laugh.
Last night you put your ring back on,
The hand I love to hold.
You repeated to me our wedding vows,
As your desires for him had grown cold.
The girl I had joined souls with,
When love merged hearts together,
Relit the flame of passion.
It shall burn on till forever!
BEING ABLE TO FORGIVE IS “THE GLUE”
THAT BINDS ANY RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER.
