Since No pain is as bad
As a freshly broken heart,
I thought I'd write to tell you,
What I'd like to do, let’s start!
I’ve got a little hammer.
I’ve got a bag of nails.
I’d like the pieces to your heart,
For I’ll fasten them quite well.
I’d hold each part so gently,
With tender loving care.
I’d build a frame to protect it,
And keep it forever there.
I’d sand down the very rough spots,
Put there by frustration and pain.
I’d place new seals to fill in holes,
Where your heart at first was lain.
After it’s back together,
I’ll give it a little shove,
To get it off and running,
Generating deeply with love.
The fuel we use to sustain it,
Will be an inexhaustible supply!
Then continually we shall maintain it,
So true love shall never die!
Moral: Love is work, and a choice
but well worth the effort!
