I am a gentlemen.
Therefore I will be gentle with you.
I love myself.
Therefore I can love you.
I care for myself.
Therefore I can care for you.
I respect myself.
Therefore I can respect you.
I honer myself.
Therefore I can honer you.
I trust myself.
Therefore I can trust you.
I cherish myself.
Therefore I can cherish you.
I am a friend to myself.
Therefore I can be a friend to you.
I am a companion to myself.
Therefore I can be a companion to you.
I am forgiving to myself.
Therefore I can forgive you.
I am understanding towards myself.
Therefore I can be understanding towards you.
God gave me these things.
Therefore I can give them to you.
I have peace with myself.
Therefore I can offer peace to you.
One can not give what you don't have.

I like it. Very true!

While every care is taken to ensure the general sites content is family safe, our moderators cannot be in all places; all the time. Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
