anguished

A hand reaching out makes her woeful,
She doesn't even know what trust is,
Nobody blames her for anything,
Because they lost her along the way.
Trafficked through life just following cars,
She turns and sees the headlights,
Blinded by everything she knows in life,
She sinks back into perpetual darkness.
Mind ablaze she struggles on the road,
Covered in scars that no-one will see,
Sobbing internally at what she isn't,
Who would understand her world.
United in the effort to travel beyond,
Everything seems to be in her way,
Following the example set by her heart,
The light rejects her completely.
Salvation is found in the darkest corner,
She climbs her way to the top,
Nearly seeing what she can become,
She looses her grip and falls into happiness.
