The Nightmares That Keeps Me From Dreaming

Contributed by cheetham on Thursday, 1st May 2003 @ 04:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I need someone to love me,
And to let me know I'm needed.
All I've felt from you,
As that hate is being seeded.

Every day is the same as yesterday,
And I'd rather not even be,
Than live another day as the figure,
Staring back from the mirror at me.

Every step I make is a fresh mistake,
So I turn around but it feels a lie.
I simply stop making footprints,
But then time just passes me by.

I lie here and think,
What to do next and where to go.
But I cant live my life anymore,
Going so god damn slow.

I'll expose you for what you are,
A thief and a liar and a cheat.
It feels that you set out,
To make everyday a deadbeat .

It's hard to feel optimistic,
When the glass is always half empty.
It makes me sick to think,
I've got to work to put bread on the floor.

I tire of those that interfere.
Who look at my life and sneer.
These delisious thoughts keep me awake,
With a constant sickness I cannot shake.
Your company fills me with lonelyness,
I wish this world was painless.
