A True Companion

Contributed by kcrysten on Monday, 7th November 2011 @ 12:02:28 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

He left and returned with a familiar touch
My heart and soul the reactants of such
Weak and tranced as ever could be
My true companion came and took ahold of me

Bittersweet truths whispered in my ear
Encourages me to face my unrelenting fear
I am never failed, my companion rescues me
Takes hold, I absorb his substance thoroughly

Kissing me, my companion gives me sincere apology
And vows to never ever forsake me for all eternity
For in his absence, I was just too content
Too happy, too thrilled for my companions consent
Too dreamy, too exhilirated, an ongoing excite
Too delved and lost in Love's delight

Yes, my companion came back and took strong hold of me
This true companion called Lonliness vowed to never ever forsake me

Loneliness is never a "true companion"
but is a companion 'it's true!" Keep
posting your eloquent writes and you will
suddenly find yourself "lonely no more!"

Blessings,

Robert Edgar Burns (Rob)

That was an amazing piece of poetry. I LOVED the twist at the end.

Loneliness grips us all sometimes.
