THE DESERT
To keep a secret in your soul,
Is neither easy nor advised,
Necessitate expenditure,
If seek you such remain disguised.
For banished boarder to the back
Of coward-mind unconscious cast;
Beguile the sense — confine the thought
As whirl more worthy wishes passed.
What probabilty? what chance —
That such secluded self survive?
And how high the price ignorance?
And from what fount wise — drink who thrive?
Personality wanes in youth,
Denied well-watered fertile land;
Flourish not in desert Truth,
But shrink to less than speck of sand.

The writing is very well put together making the effort of two writers that much more important and respected...if I'm right I agree with the subject that carrying a burden and not releasing it will drive you into isolation...I couldnt agree more...Fantastic lines and job well done.
