MY BODY TO SCIENCE!

I gave my body to science.
Or al least you know, I tried!
But they said they could not use me,
Not even when I die!

They said there was too much wrong,
And they began to quote a list.
I listened to what they had to say,
And it went something like this:

“Sir you are too sickly.
Diabetes has ruined you.
Then there’s all those heart attacks,
There’s nothing we can do!”

“Your eyes are almost useless.
We see you’re almost blind.
Heart failure and angina,
They plague you all the time!”

“Gangrene has taken most of your groin,
And your impotence is severe.
I know you have tinnitus
In your right and your left ear.”

“The disks now in your lower back
Are bringing you to tears.
By age you should be ninety nine,
But you’re still advanced in years!”

I’ve had so many blessings,
My family, friends and wife.
But the biggest one that I have now,
Is each one more day of life!

AN ABSOLUTELY TRUE STORY!
