help me to feel
the joy threw the pain
help me to see
the sun threw the rain
the tears that i cry
the hurt that i feel
the pain thats inside
is all that is real
i want to escape
to just run away
and maybe i'll live
for just one more day
the blood on the bed
the cuts on my wrist
the tears on my cheek
are all that exists
you broke down my world
you shattered my soul
i'll spend my life trying
to just fill this hole
one day i'll cut deeper
and drift off to sleep
and still i'll die knowing
my childhood you'll keep
but as for right now
i'll put on this smile
and they'll think im okay
at least for awhile
i wont let them see
i'm dieing inside
they'll never know
the emoitons i hide
but when the day comes
and im finally free
i want you to know
you did this to me

Heart wrenching sad but great write. If you need a friend p.m me.
I've been crushed in life too so I understand every word that you write.
Keep writing and one day your inner healing will surprise you.

Emotions make up our character. A tug at
your heart strings whether it be pain, grief,
love or joy is tempering your great art in print.
What people don't realize is this: Happiness
is not necessarily a feeling as much as it is
an individuals CHOICE! In the Bible, JOB was
tortured worse than anyone ever had been. But
in the midst of it all he made the following
statement; "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh
away. Blessed be the name of the Lord!"

To find joy you must choose joy! Please do!
Blessings,
Robert Edgar Burns (Rob)

P.S. If you need a friend, please email me at

I have a poem titled "Fathers And Daughters"
and I would love for you to read it please!
