When I left that morning

Contributed by pat346 on Wednesday, 2nd November 2011 @ 08:01:49 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You were a little high
I was a little buzzed
off your mothers rum
and I met your buds

We drove around
to their favorite spot
where we flirted while
they smoked some pot

it was getting late
you were touching me
i was touching you
in the backseat

I had work at six
so we made it known
said "to go to bed"
but "just to be alone"

you played to me
your favorite songs
my hair would raise
when you sung along

we rolled around
and lost our clothes
We lost ourselves
finally alone

When I woke
I brushed your hair
behind your ear and
held it there

I smiled at you
because you were mine
you opened your eyes
and on cloud nine

I said I'm off to work
I'll see you soon
It was hard as hell
to leave that room

So If you ask me
when I knew,
when I left that morning
I was in love with you.
