a stage,
just a stage.
a big structure of wood,
its wooden floors echoing
the history of its past performances.
every scuff mark a dance move,
or a set being moved.
its red velvet cloth curtains
concealing all behind,
covering the stage.
opening for beginnings, closing for endings
though only a stage,
it creates works of art,
intricate dance moves,
hours of rehearsal,
songs to be sung,
scenes to be played,
players telling a story.
it sets beauty.
a mood,
that reaches out toward the audience.
a tradition,
older than time,
Beauty.
a stage,
just a stage.
