Today the sun came rising
Above the mountains high.
I watched in awe as I saw
The tree tops touch the sky!
The ground with dew did glisten,
As sunbeams downward fell.
Sounds of morning filled the air
And new clean air of morning’s smell.
The splendor of this visage,
Which I was blessed to see,
Caused me to sigh in wonderment,
From deep inside of me.
This vision was itself perfection.
It could not ever better be.
Unless of course you were here
To share this morn with me.
Mountains stand ten thousand years.
We are only here just a few.
I want to spend each one of them,
Rising with the sun, and you!
