I can't exist without it
So STAY AWAY
because it's MINE
and only MINE!
c'mon now!
you could live
without this
trust me
how did you exist
before it?
but don't worry
it will never leave you.
I am so afraid!
What if it slips away?
I must hold on
With all my strength, I MUST HOLD ON!
I can feel it slipping
through my fingers
I am strong.
I know I can hold on.
but you feel it slipping
don't you?
you can't hold on forever
let go
It is almost gone, now
kiss it, hold it tightly
for it will soon be gone
let your tears
cement this day in your mind
forever
hold on
but not to it
you are strong
so strong that you don't need this
show your true strength:
let go

This is a great poem, I know My girlfriend had to deal with this with her X, but instead of him letting go, she made him let go.
