Remember me

Remember me when I was your neighbour?
I used to ask all the time for a favour
Thank you for the patience and the help I received
Some times that’s all one needs

Remember me I used to go to school with you? I was in your class
The one you used to kick and pick on
That was the past; we should grow, forgive and move on

Remember me I was your boyfriend?
We used to love each other, I thought
No hard feelings, we must move on
How is your life, now I’m gone?

Remember me I was that poet?
The one you loved, no need to say it
I know it, in my heart
