In a garden Much like Eden,
Neath a cascading waterfall,
My love lies close beside me
Taking in the robins' call.
I turn to gaze into your eyes
Like pools reflecting stars,
And feel the height and depth of love
Pounding fiercely in my heart.
You lift my spirit, soar my soul.
With you I feel complete.
And I would lose my life for you,
Or eyes, or hands, or feet.
Oh rise the sun, king of above,
And watch the rainbows' bloom!
For nothing brightens my weary path
As when you walk into my room.
If I harken to your cooing
Which gives birth to my own wooing,
Your finger points and beckons come,
My heart sprouts wings, it flies not runs!
Dewey mists now cool my eyes,
But within my heart still burns.
For I know I can't possess you,
And in daydreams continually Yearn!
