Daddy can't remember me, he asks me who I am
He doesn't know my middle name, he doesn't understand.
Daddy can't remember that he held me in his arms
And Daddy can't remember how he rescued me from harm.
Daddy can't remember that I'm Daddy's Little Girl
I keep on saying "Daddy, you're the bestest in the world."
Daddy can't remember me, but I'm sure it's a game
I'll close my eyes and count to three, and then it's sure to fade.
My Daddy can't remember me, but wait, just wait and see
My Daddy does remember, and my Daddy still loves me.
Before I go to bed, he says he loves me as he cries
And then we play the game again when I open my eyes.
Daddy can't remember me, he plays this game instead
This game where I play stranger and where Daddy plays brain dead.
Tomorrow I'll wake up and live the life in Daddy's head
I'll tell Daddy I love him...
And our 'game' will start again.
