Half of me is gone
And You are one

How can i stay strong
When you are gone

I wrote these lines
To fix what is wrong

I miss you
And all of those times

You are in my heart
I wish i was too

I am standing here
Feeling torn apart

Everyone is telling me i'll make it through
I know this not to be true

Hi...I'm sixty plus, twice divorced and possess the memory of countless broken hearts...it hurts...I know. For what it is worth, all my painful relational experience has finally taught me that when one finally realizes all that they are, the Love for ones "Self" becomes a reality. When a person is finally able to Love their "Self" as they wish another would, they are freed from needing that other. It's not that the separation has no meaning; it's that the other person is missing out on the privilege of sharing time with you. Had anyone told me this during my first fifty-four years, my pain would have prevented me from listening. Know this: You are Loved.
