Lightning

Contributed by Mikki on Thursday, 20th October 2011 @ 10:55:27 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The rain is the tears and the wind is the breath
The thunder's a cry for some help before death
The lighting's the light that we can't seem to catch
The clouds are the dreams we've forgotten and left
The moon's a reminder of all that you were
You're stunning bright glow through the dark, empty blur
The ocean's the feeling inside of my mind
To my deep emotion, they often are blind.

The sunlight has faded from darkness to dust
The faces surrounding me weaken my trust
This whole in my heart has been filled with disgust
To this living nightmare, I cannot adjust.

I'm drowning in sorrow, I'm drowning in blood
The monstrous disasters have started to flood

I need you here now, but you've fallen asleep
Your final strong breath caused my heart to grow weak

The rain is the tears and the wind is your voice
The thunder's my cry for the strength to rejoice

The lightning's the light that can't shine very bright
And all of these memories killed me tonight...

very deep emotions about someone's death that are very dear to us, i know the feeling when someone's death still lingers in our minds' the dreams, the hope, and the love that he/she had left us is emotional... nice and beautiful poetry...

May you find peace in this Biblical
Admonition, "Weeping may endure
for a night, but Joy cometh in the
morning!" This is how you can find
the "Peace that passes all understanding!"
Blessings,
Robert Edgar Burns
