A Poem for a Friend

Contributed by haleynicole on Tuesday, 18th October 2011 @ 08:02:09 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Dear Friend,
I'm writing this for you,
because you're no longer here to
hold me when i cry these tears
that are for you, or help me with my fears
that are submissive and no longer clear.
lifes cruel demands are sucking me in
and i'm trapped, missing you again.
consumed in this sorrow i feel
that the you i knew is no longer real.
believing is seeing
and seeing is believing
so why cant they see
that i can no longer be someone who believes
in fairy tales and happy ever after
there is only waiting for death and hoping for hereafter.
my insides are nothing and i'm composed of an empty black hole
a frenzy of stretching that has led to no self control,
because if god chose to take a soul as beautiful as you,
then with someone like me, what will he do?

the messege conveyed by this particular poem is very deep and wistful as your yearning for that person presences once again, very nice.
