COOKIES IN THE OVEN

Topic: ChildrensPoetry

The cookies in the oven
Are smelling very fine.
But don’t you know that Grandma
They are taking too much time.

But really how much time they take,
I guess it will not matter,
If you will give me the beaters
And let me lick the batter!

I crawled up on my grandpa’s lap
And we both then took a nap.
My friends outdoors were eating Smores,
As Grandpa’s CPAP machine was stopping snores.

His hairpiece fell onto the floor,
But when his teeth fell out I could take no more!
I ran out of the room so fast,
And found the cookies done at last!

I really don’t like one cookie.
Grandma are you really just a rookie?
Can’t you see while you hold the pan
By looking at me that I have two hands?

Ginger ale will often give me gas.
But the toots it brings just makes me laugh!
Burps can also be quite funny.
But diarrhea is just way to runny.
OOPS!

This was a nice change of pace and it brought a huge smile. I enjoyed the wit and your sense of humor made this piece. Great job and highly creative!
