Place of dreams

Contributed by sanders on Saturday, 15th October 2011 @ 07:09:41 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Far away in a place of dreams
Where there are ice-capped mountains and valleys green
Where rivers flow like sparkling streams
And waterfalls plunge from the highest peaks...

Where the Sun shines like diamonds in the sky
And the wind whispers quietly by your side
Where the birds welcome you to surge high
And dew drops glow like crystals in the ice...

Where all your wishes will seem to come true
With all your emotions dressed in colourful hues
Where nothing in the world can come to bother you
With all the beauty you shall blend too...

There in the place where all is evergreen
You shall forget where you ought to have been
Then pride shall take its dip into the sea
And you will see what you have lost in me.

I love poems like this that divulge the meaning in the very last line. I have done it several times myself. That was an absolutely beautiful way to describe how you felt. Please... keep writing.

This is so rich with imagery, but I love that surprise twist at the end!
