Walking with you down the barren road one day,
we came to a dry, shallow pit.
Not exactly sure just what I should do, I asked
“Should we go over it?”
You said “I’ve been that way before,
it only leads to a shattered visage.”
To which I responded “You can’t be sure,
I smell an oasis, you might have just missed it.”
Then, when you said “Hey, look. You’re wrong.
I swear I’m not lying, now please come along.”
I felt somewhat angered with your stubbornness
and longed for the heartache you claimed I should miss.
You asked me to pause and look at myself
for just one moment, to see if it made me sick.
I became more upset and just hopped ‘cross that pit,
and then felt ashamed when the sand there turned quick.
Why didn’t you stop me?
You’re nothing more than a traitor.
I swallowed my pride and grinned reluctantly,
and figure that you were doing some good.
We walked down the paved path and
then we came to the anticlimactic end of the sidewalk,
at which point, I said “My God this place is Dull.
I could have had myself a nice adventure.
What are we doing here?”
You’re nothing more than a traitor.

Ahhh..... I see.... she tried to stop you in the first one, but you did it anyway and blamed her. And in the second one you got mad because you didn't get a grand adventure... This is a wonderful poem with wonderful morals!!!!
