You’ve closed your mouth,
But the words remain
Hanging on drunken breath
A dark and growing stain
You don’t say anything
But you don’t need to
Your message shrieks at me
Though silence speaks for you
All the things you shouldn’t say
Now spoken for all to hear
You say you love me, but you lie
Unsaid words of hate are all too clear
I cover my ears
But words seep in
Like I’m drowning
Like you’ll finally win
But now I see the truth, I realize
You were the one losing your fight
You tried to bury me with you
For company in your eternal night
I saw you going down,
But couldn’t stop the leak
You didn’t want my help
I know; I heard your silence speak
