TRIBUTE TO MY DAD.

Contributed by emystar on Monday, 10th October 2011 @ 11:12:18 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

You've Always been there for me.
You never fussed at my wrongs.
You continued to live Mom's morals.
You hang in there every day
Remembering, Mom"s songs.

We were walking down the hospital
Steps after Mom passed, My brother said
"Now daddy you are all we have left."
Daddy Said, "Well son, I'll do my best."

You embraced Mom's luv,
She left us all when she passed.
She wept only before her death.
We all knew heaven she embraced.
Her luv memory's
Helped us survive, I guess.

Year's later you told us good bye
After fighting cancer the last time.
Al-tho I embraced you didn't
Want you to leave
But I know you and Mom are fine.

To the greatest Dad and Mom that walked this Planet.
I luved you then, I luv u now.

'TRIBUTE TO MY DAD' is a beautiful poem. It's sad but not too sad -- and it ends on a positive note. I think that's great. I miss my parents too -- but there's nothing we can do to bring them back. Your poem brings them back in the best way we can -- with beautiful sentiments and heart-felt words. -- FlintHunter

Beautiful tribute my sister! I can feel
the tears as they stream down your face
(and mine). I am an orphan now too, for
many years now. But thanks be to God,
I know you have that same "Blessed Hope"
that I have as we anxiously await our
"Reunion in the sky" when our Lord and Savior
"Wipes away all the tears from our eyes" forever!
Blessings, Your friend,
Rob

Inspiring, motivating and moving as so often your work is.
Somehow you always manage to extol the positives in situations that never seem as if they can be.
Once again I am soothed and uplifted by your work.

this is a beautiful poem. you did an excellent job of expressing your feelings, and making people see how your parents were truly parents. i'm sorry you lost them. i don't call my so-called parents ' parents. ' i don't know exactly how you feel - but you have a way with words. i felt them through your writing.

Powerful inspiration of an old soul wisdom expressed here. Can't say who the old soul was ...
he or ... thee. Heartfelt lyric. Beautiful to me.
