He put on is boots and began to walk,
To free his mind from mindless talk,
No destination, no place to arrive,
This freedom and liberation in which he thrives,
Step by step, as time slips away,
No better way to spend his dying day.

There is a serenity inside your words...arriving at our final steps having the inevitable stand before us it would be a huge burden lifted to have that fear removed...this was quite stimulating and well written.

'The Final Walk' is an unusual and very original poem. It's one-of-a-kind -- something like I've not seen before. There is a strangeness about it -- like it has a secret... That's how it seems to me: i know each person interprets a poem in his own way... Regardless, this is a great poem that makes you stop and think. -- FlintHunter
