Grief

i cant deny that i agreed
to love she who planted a seed
guilt and despair
running bells round chapels fair
it was in the heat of the night
blood rose in him with fright
the morning sky seemed to dark
twas then it shook his bones
by the turn of a strangers phone
shots rung out like fate
he had come to take the bait
and she had come too late
he woke up the bank in roar
but he didnt see and never saw
as black and blue charged in
past the people on the floor
to the barrel of his gun
came thunder and the sun
a single bloodied coat
by his side
and a 12 gauge in his arms
he had doubted
and had qualms
in the back the money gone
and the light through black shone
but the light hid her well
now rung the execution bell
