The Educator

Contributed by thefacade on Saturday, 8th October 2011 @ 05:05:12 AM in AEST
Topic: schoolproblems

There will be turmoil in the West halls
and blood in Sir’s cup of tea.
The disciplinarian is out,
the great leader is out
prancing royally and serving bullets up for lunch.
Her gallant, assured strides
in the space of her box-room
Play great tunes on the strings of our hearts.

Those eyes, beadier than no other
with a neck as stiff as stone
Last week, she bounded into our classroom
Instilling in us the fear of God
and other omnipotent life forms such as herself.

But then she grew evasive, and then she grew contagious
Yesterday, she claimed to have founded the country,
And convinced us all to keep quiet and believe it
But today she grows weary, of her worn-out tales
Today, the great leader will fall

With a tongue of razors, now a sorry heap
she suffers, she does,
just like the real people she taught;
she suffers for her memories and for her lost time
That kept her from softening the child
or turning him into someone she was proud of
Now turning her into an illusion
Not the enemy. Not that.
Tonight her children lay soundless, asleep,
No faster than they grew
Tonight she prowls in heat, in lust
So you can be silent too.

What a compelling read this was, never knew how it was going to twist and turn, which kept me right there till the end.
Thanks for sharing it with us all.
