Doglike Seams

Doglike Seams

There was once a misled dog,
He looked like a canine, but all around him there was fog.
No one could see through this layer of smoke,
Not only one saw that he was about to choke.

He waited for a wind gust to blow it all away,
But nothing came, but a breeze of decay.

Faith that someone would come to save him from his lonely shell,
Began to fade, now thinking - he was in hell.

Once again he felt the need to retreat to his citadel,
Sensing now - he was truly an infidel.

Maybe the fog was only an illusion,
But that would make him crazy in the ways of psychological intrusion.
Like someone shouldn't be able to see the dead,
Dark shadows shouldn't appear in ones head.

Maybe because of the fact that he was a puppy of foster-care,
Could explain the enigma of why he felt like an imposter - how rare...

Soon he realised he truly was of canine breed,
He was a dire wolf,
He was born to lead.

A new understanding of his arduous well-being,
Now began to prosper - a tormented feeling.

-----------------------------------

Lost in this aberrant kind of habitat,
He began to loose his will to live - he wouldn't even chase the cat

One day the wolf's number was up,
But he couldn't kill himself - he felt like a pup.
Plucking up the courage to do the deed,
he counted to ten - then he felt the need.
He never reached the number eleven,
For he had jumped - he was now in heaven."

-----------------------------------

alternate ending:

Lost in this aberrant kind of habitat,
He began to loose his will to live - he began to get fat!

'I will never ever claim the title; obese.
I would rather go play fetch with my niece.
But all in all I think I will survive,
Because despite the fog and my inability to fit in - I am alive.'"
