Grief

I'm in my infancy
In my prime
I call out to you
You call time.
I feel the way
I always do
I look around
I don't see you
A broken man
An empty shell
From your pedestal
You never fell
A legacy an imprint
An unmarked grave
Hold on now
To just being brave
Rest with mine
Who i kept nearest
A memory to hold
For you my dearest
To touch just one heart
Having left your mark
To light up life
Alone in the dark
