Life Isn't All It's Made Out To Be

Contributed by VioletSkies on Sunday, 2nd October 2011 @ 09:24:12 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

The whispers of the wind can mean nothing to some, but speak a million words to others. It all depends on how you look at things. If you take the world and turn it into a creative project full of wonders and magic that can’t be explained, what are you left with? The hatred that is show through simple looks and unfathomable statements created in bold ways that only turn to regret? Or maybe the last whispers in a dying breath that turn the dying grass on the ground to new spring flowers. There is never enough time to say or do all we would wish. The thing is to do as much as you can with the time that you have. And if you don’t think that such things are good enough for you, then why not take the situation and put new meaning to the words? The present time is not enough time for all you strive to accomplish, yet you spend all your waking hours waiting for the lightbulb above your head to burn, and you spend your whole life looking for all the right answers. All I can ask is why? There are so many things in the world that don’t have explanations, though we are determined to find the answer, even if it isn’t in plain sight. We try and try, but what comes out of all that hard work we grind into the words that we speak? What if no one is listening when you make such a great attempt to explain your day and all the beauty you could find, and the pain, and sorrow that stood in it’s path? What you can do, you must do, for it is the only way to make yourself feel whole. Isn’t that how these things go? And if you think that every story ends with a happy ever after, then you are sadly mistaken my friend, because the glass may not always be as full as it looks, and the fullness of the world could be masked by a layer of sweat raked down the back of a hardworking laborer only trying to get through the day. Truth is, those words encased in the soft mutterings you hear drifting throughout the atmosphere could save someone’s life, though you couldn’t tell just that by the way that you look at the individual who was only about to walk down that unforgiving path in the dead of night.
