In the darkness of the night
In the stillness as I lay
I feel the terror – beyond a fright
I know what’s coming my way

In the shadows of my mind
There’s a darkness, there’s a hell
There’s a place where monsters live
It’s a place I know too well

Demons, vampires, ghosts, alike
They’re not real you say
They’re not real unless you see them
I won’t see them today I pray

Try to smother the voices
Make them go away
Take my medications
Be a good girl today
