You didn`t think you hurt anyone, but you did.
You took a piece of me with every hit.
You broke my spirit with every kick.
You didn`t think you hurt anyone, but you did.
You choked me till my breathing nearly quit.
You beat and kicked me in the street like they do in wild riots.
You shamed me with your spit to get me quiet.
You didn`t think you hurt anyone, but you did.
I did nine years time with insufferable drama.
I suffered kicks and punches to the head
and multiple traumatic brain traumas.
I don`t even know who I am anymore.
I`m a shell of the person I was before.
I was a thriving, intelligent, woman with a promising career
and now I suffer schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder.
You didn`t think you killed anyone, but you did.
