We have beheld the glory of life
And the terror of our death
We serve a part of existence
And depart with our last breath
On the funeral pyre our remains shall burn
The ashes from our bodies shall return
To inherit the world from the void
Between all darkness and light
Is there a heaven?
It's hard to say so,
It's easier just to say no
If there is a heaven
Where could it be?
I keep looking up
And it's stars that I see
Logical eyes
Still search for the stars
Whence we came
Sensible minds
Still wonder who we are
and where it all began
(the stars, whence we came)
On the funeral pyre our cadavers shall burn
The ashes from our bodies shall return
To inherit the world from the void
Between all darkness and Light
On the funeral pyre our smoke will rise
We will re-invest into the sky
To inherit the world from the void
Between all darkness and Light
Is there a heaven?
It's hard to say so,
It's easier just to say no
Logical eyes
Still search for the stars
Whence we came
Sensible minds
Still wonder who we are
and where it all began
(the stars, whence we came)
If there is a heaven
Where could it be?
I keep looking up
And it's stars that I see
