I give my heart to broken dreams,
and wake to my tormented screams,
but life will never break me down,
or take from me this cursed crown,
for I am king among the damned,
and in this torment I have found,
a beauty that not many see,
a vile beauty... that I set free,
and till my deformed soul departs,
I will hold your broken heart.

Wonderfully wicked to the point that you drive home in beautiful detail how dark a place you speak of. Actions put us in our place where ever that maybe and i really enjoyed this piece.

Ooh, deep and chilling.
I like how you say that though. I personally find myself feeling a strange bit of beauty in being broken-hearted. It's odd though because I can't quite say for certain why, but I feel it's something best held on to. It almost serves to solidify the peaceful and happy memories you remember. It's a painful purging process, but a lovely one at that.
Glad to be back and get to read some of your stuff! :) |
