May these brutal and prideful bars be torn down
And the insecurities fly away from within
To unleash a potential Worldwide impact
Who you are meant to be: a heroine
Why have you restricted yourself to a prideful facade
The one that conceals the aftermath of spiritual attacks
Perhaps a more reasonable question you have
Is how a minor character such as I is so observant
And unlike the adolescent militia am offering my help
Have you grown immune to your homemade remedies
The ones developed to keep you away from professional help
The imprisoned heroine within strongly disapproves
And is slightly prominent in conflict with this facade
Ah yes! Another detail I observe in one as yourself

A courageous poem; one that hints at the heroine's innate strength; seems to me that whatever battles are to be fought will be won by choice -- not simply luck. I am particularly moved by the words and meter and rhyme-scheme of the first quatrain. Exceptional.
