I felt your warm breath on my back
I felt your presence all around
But I looked and I could not see you
I listened, but heard not a sound
I could feel the warmth of your touch
I could feel you in my heart
But when I looked, you were not there
We seemed to be together, yet far apart
Yes,these feelings I sometimes get
Although I know they can't be real
For you've been gone so long now
Your touch I will never again feel
They took you from me so long ago
And buried you in that cold hard ground
To never again hold me close to you
To lay at bay, to utter not a sound
But even though your body is gone
In my heart, you'll always be near
And now and then when I feel your presence
I see you through my blurry tears
No, in my heart, you'll never be gone
For when I built that wall, I locked you inside
I threw away the key a long time ago
I locked it up the day you died
I have your wonderful memories
That they can never take away
And I have the love you gave me
And the warmth of you from a sunny day
Yes my darling, I promised to love you
Through eternity, forever and a day
You know I never break a promise
You always said, I was funny that way
So I will continue to love you
Wherever you may be
And when the angels sing
It's a song of love from you to me.......
