I sit upon a rock up high
watch innocence galloping by
Watercolors arc o'erhead
and flowers crown the princess head
I gaze into a crayon sky
and bright love shines into mine eye
Drama blooms in crimson folds
and who knows what the future holds?
Chilly change blows all around
and leaves upon the ground are found
Shiny tokens go with cubs
as a lioness on the window rubs
Unique bits of sorrow fly
as memories go flashing by
What is gone cannot return
and hope inside the fireplace burns
