To Whom it May Concern

Topic: Lifepoems

I heard we have finally unslept the night, clenching the crimson twilight when everything below screeches of the tears in our hearts and the heaving void in our souls, unflowing streams in the thrones of your unseeing eyes as we wander here and stalk there dreading the sunrise as trumpets play on the wings of the starry eyed and the guards mind the doors lest we all march back from this hushed abyss, seeking the unfindable voice inside and without, going nowhere when you think you are heading somewhere , exposing time while you tick along but listen carefully , something is happening, something is throbbing out of the diseased womb, the humming silence round your noise is unclamoring, someone is splashing across the noon stars. So tell you what, why don’t we try it some other way, and we’ll unmake your mess one day. Why don’t you step aside and let us shine through? I’m sure you know it’s not just you. I’m sure you know something is wrong…you just can’t unsing this song. Turn off the news it is still far away. Run inside your curtain. Nothing is certain. What’s worth all this ignorance? What’s worth all this I? So why don’t you let go before it’s too late, I hear they are pretty strict at the gate. And don’t worry you’ll be back once more. Then you’ll see what we died for. Then you will grasp your sin. Why you should’ve looked in. Then you’ll see all was well… you just couldn’t taste the spell. You thought you had a thing or two. You dreamt we are not true. You thought we were all dead… you just didn’t get what he said. And the filth has spurted from your veins to overcast our skies; the blind lust has colored the air we share with your vile mortal stench. So open your eyes. The trees are no longer green… you just never saw what you have seen. And the night is still thick but something is breezing from afar, something unlike you. Something new. You think you have it all, think again. We won’t give in. We will untarnish this realm to cut through and we will paint a better way. As for you, you’ll die for a soul to unsell…wallowing where we will never dwell.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
