Sitting on my table, gazing at my books
dream world, so tempting it looks;
Descending in the arms of sleep
lost in dreams to laugh and to weep.
Lovely were those days, when,
world appeared so simple then;
No worry, no care
life was full of fun and fair.
But gone are those cherished days
so hazy now appear my ways;
There’s a turmoil in my mind
strange! I don't know of what kind.
I can’t sleep, help me oh lord!
do something to strike a chord;
Surge of thoughts, gushed in n out
my volition is wholly lost, I doubt;
These random thoughts, they perplex me
for who are they, I search an epitome;
The multitude of strands entangled,
make me feel in a prison circled.
At times I weep, reasons untrace,
with a grand smile pasted on my face;
Sitting on the table, still gazing at my books,
but dream world, so rusty it looks……….

Dear respected vicky ,
You have written the poem with skill
Rhyme and rhythm give real thrill
Your very first poem is damn grand
In Nobel Prize you may later land
But, you must sincerely try
Limit is surely the holy Sky.
With best wishes, Thanking you, Yours truly,
