Spirituality is fading and I am weak,
I look up to your smile and see why.
Here to protect and perform my duty,
To you I was nothing but a convenience.
Someone to hold when there was no-one else,
I am foolish as I laugh and I die.
You are the roses and the thorns in my eyes,
So sore I weep milky white sadness.
I stand strong as I have you,
But I am a mere shell of myself.
A slowly crawling train to my scrap yard,
To be transformed into something new.
I wake up from mystical sleep,
And see where I was wrong.
I was afraid of you and me,
Not you, you were perfect.
Now I worry I have lost you forvever,
But it is myself I struggle to find.
Sentient feelings abandon me here,
Left deserted by what I was.
It is for the best that I die.
I proved nothing but a hinderance.
As the light creeps across the sea of black,
I awaken to my daybreak, to my soulbreak.
