She Yearns To Be His

Contributed by oliola on Tuesday, 13th September 2011 @ 11:22:08 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

She lay down, her hand by her hair, not his,
her shadow over his lonely, pensive face.
This shadow would forever be haunting.
She reaches out to him, for affection,
and not by touching, no, but by longing.

There is a voice inhabiting her mind,
Entering her veins,
Spreading through to her heart.

This voice reminds her that she wants to sway
like the tree flirting with his sight by the
flutter of its leaves, that wind that's soothing
his face in a needed, unnoticed way
and that grass, his senses it's caressing.

She desires to be desired, but remains still
in the field of grass,
his senses it's caressing.

Let me take your tears, she screams silently,
and give you my blissful moments. His gaze
makes her realize that her yearning
is for nothing, for he wants not her, needs not her.
This shadow would forever be haunting.

Welcome to YPDC.
It's really sad but great writing.
Been there, done that but that still don't make it easier.
Blessings, huggs,
emy.

it is so tough being young and in love -- especially when that love is not quite fulfilled -- but, to be sure, as they say 'There's a lid for every pot,' that is, there is a soul-mate for everyone. And that is true. If this fellow is your soul-mate, then deep inside you --you know it -- i can't and wouldn't suggest to you what to do -- but i can say it is always wise to follow your feelings -- but you must be true to yourself and know if what you're feeling is real or not -- meanwhile, you express yourself beautifully -- and even tho' you suffer, you give us a wonderful poem: sometimes good things come from not-so-good things. Keep writing -- it will help you! Good poem. Very. Good.
