These Halls

School was out when I wandered these halls

The same ones you would chase me down affectionately

Oh how I awaited each day for your embrace and precious words

Along with that constant tickle you'd always fit in to see my reaction

Do you remember in detail the memories we've made in these halls

We would squander our precious time before the bell would ring

With our canoodling or snuggling as you would refer to it

If you could you'd hold me forever

Sad to say I am the one that escaped your loving clutches

And now you will not run into that of my own

As I was wandering these halls I did not feel alone

For flashbacks crowded my vision and you were there for a moment

You wrapped your arms around me and I enjoyed every minute

Until reality kicked in and I was on my way to set up for next Sunday

sweetly written, playful in a way. Reminds me of my ex and i, how we acted back in highschool!
