Be very clear about a thing
You can be a slave or King
If happy thoughts you bring
You can invent nice spring
If you possess a strong will
You can climb easily life-hill
If enthusiasm is a big nil
Life comes to a standstill
You can create or destroy
You can help or annoy
You can worry or enjoy
So the best you deploy
Choice is purely yours
Prefer tears or cheers
Acquire guts or fears
Hope your ear hears
Better to move to achieve
Hope and faith you conceive
A positive web you weave
Then success you receive.

Decide to Take the Right Side

After receiving your comment, I immediately looked for your poetry. This is beautiful. Experience -- tho' -- has made it a fearful thing for me to decide to take the right side. For more than 50 years I've been afraid -- since I fear that as soon as I would take the right side, the wrong one would pop up and destroy.I suffer from severe manic-depression and other psychiatric ailments -- these are of inherited and chemical origin. yes, i talked and talked -- but in the end, it was only medicine that let me know that there even WAS a right side. I will bear your words in mind, since now, by way of the medication, i feel rather well -- almost every day -- and that, in and of itself, is like climbing Mt. Everest. You are a good one -- your words flow -- pure rhyme doesn't constrict you: that is rare. I hope to read some of your other fine songs. Thank you and bless you. You are strong. Very. Strong. Almost a rock...
Sincerely,
FlintHunter |
